Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force

Ubisoft announced today it will give the elite group of gamers who are both GBA and Star Wars fans special reason to celebrate this September. Along with the release of the original trilogy on DVD, Ubisoft will unleash Star Wars Trilogy: Apprentice of the Force for the Game Boy Advance.

Designed as a celebration of the original films, Star Wars Trilogy will take gamers through their favorite moments from the three classics. Along with plenty of single-player action, the title will also feature competitive multiplayer modes.

Look for Star Wars Trilogy to hit stores September 21, 2004. Meantime, check out these first screens to get a sense of the action.

Doh, I was kinda hoping they were porting the SNES games to the GBA. Those were good fun, hopefully this will be too.

I don't think it is the characters alone so much as they don't fit in with the backgrounds. The characters look cell-shaded, but nothing else does.

With the current track record of great Star Wars games, plus Ubisoft's greatness in general, I expect this game to be pretty damn decent.
