    I just got my new rig from this site, and it is absolutly fantastic, highly recommend! Extremely quick delivery too!

    As for Doom 3, I really can't get enough of this game. I am in the Center Communications Station, and the game just keeps getting better.
    Cool, thanks. I'm ordering one today or tomorrow, I'm gonna play this damn game. I'm gonna have to get just a tower though, I can't afford to get everything new.
    PSN = knarlockk
    Steam= kevinb150

    There's almost none. Once in awhile when the music does kick in, it's just ambience music for the situation somewhat like the stuff in Doom 64.

    On another topic, is anyone kinda sad theres no death animations? Sure it's cool to watch then burn away, but when I kill something like the Mancubus, I'd arather see his brain pop out and skin melt before he burns away. That would have been ultimate.

    Don't buy from Ibuypower or Cyberpower... They both may have great prices, but they are terrible companies.

    I ordered from cyberpower without doing any research on the company. When the PC came, there was a disconnectec heatsink rattling around the case. No big deal, I thought, until I powered up the machine and the video card (All-In-Wonder 9800 pro, the most expensive component) was busted, probably due to the heatsink banging into it during shipping.

    So I called and got an RMA # and sent it back. It took them three weeks into my first semester of college to get me a new one.

    Just look at their reviews on Epinions here and here.

    After reading all of that I think I'm lucky it was only my video card that was screwed up.

    Order from them if you want to take a chance on your computer. I hear they've gotten better than they used to be, but I'd still be wary of ordering from them. Their prices are enticing.

  4. I've dealt with Monarch computers in the past and they were awesome good prices too

    Is Bobby Prince still around, btw? I know he was an elderly guy (70s) when Doom came out.
    There is no music. It's all sounds in-game. Tweaker did the main theme, which sounds like a crappy cover of a Tool song, despite Tweaker being really awesome otherwise. Trent Reznor backed out of Doom 3 because of work on his new album and the length of development.

    That sucks that you had a bad experience. I ordered from Ibuypower and had the easiest computer shopping experience I've evr had. My rig came in a matter of a week and ran like a charm. I guess it's dependant on the system.

    As for bad experiences, a few years ago I ordered from Alienware, and my system crapped out on me after a few hours. After 5 weeks of sending the rig back and forth they finally figured out the problem was the motherboard, which would take them another full 3 weeks to fix (that's a long fuckin time!). I ended up going with Dell. Alienware, who are supposed to be some of the best provided me with a terrible computer buying experience.

    Um, what? Three weeks for a motherboard? Completely building a computer from scratch and installing everything takes less then a day, what the hell are they on?

  8. I'm a fan of www.falcon-nw.com Think Alienware but more reasonable.

    Actually, it was closer to 4 weeks now that I remember more clearly, they said they would return the system to me in 24 days. Hence why I returned the damn thing! On top of that their customer service was TERRIBLE, but that seems to be the case with most of these custom online computer companies.

    You're right though, I could have gone out and bought my own motherboard and installed in in a matter of a day, but noooo, that would void my warrenty.............bastards.

    I've heard great things about Falcon, but here's what you'll be doing to yourself if you order an Alienware, at least through my experience
