I'm at the part now where I have to get Plasma something or other for the Scientist that is working on the teleporter.
One of my favourite games so far this year.

It's not that big of a spoiler, id confirmed the Cyber Demon would be in the game awhile back, he was the most likely boss.

Finished the game. The later levels are the best part about the game, and the actual hell level is just awesome. The bosses are really cool too - so theres a really good payoff for reaching the end. I would give Doom3 a solid 8 of 10.

Now the wait for the mods begins...

I got to play it for two hours today.

I was terrified.

I beat it about ten minutes ago, and I loved how it ended. Some people don't like the final battle, but I really enjoyed it and thought the ending perfectly captured the feeling of previous Doom games.

Overall, I was sceptical before this was released (after all, when was the last time id released a game that had a single-player mode worth playing?), but it turned out better than I could have hoped.

Scratch Monarch off. $850 for this; 64 bit Athlon 3000, 512 meg of RAM, 40 gig HD, no DVD drive, no CD ROM, no sound card, no grafix card, no network card, no monitor, and no speakers....yack.. I did get a decent price at ibuypower with the same setup with a CD\DVD combo, Gforce 4, and a network card for less than $600. I'm considering it but FirstBloods got me a little scared though. Damnit, my head hurts now, I've got to get something though, Doom 3 and HalfLife 2 own my conciousness. You think those $500 dells with the 2.6Ghz P4s would suffice? Someone who knows their shit please help me out. I'm looking for something between $500 and $600 sans monitor and speakers. I would really like a Athlon 64. If someone could find me a good setup for that price I might even show my appreciation by sending them a free game or system.

mods are flowin in already. there's the all purpose(ie ever gun) ducktape mod, more gore mod, a full on flamethrower, and more hittin file planet almost daily.
