I'll download it for free.
This is one powerful documentary for anyone who is in a band. The documentary shows the original three members of Metallica and their struggle to get back together and create a new album. You get to see the band members attack each other and struggle to maintain the band.
I thought it was g ood documentary. It gives an insight to a huge metal band and proves that they're just as human as the rest of us. I thought it was interesting to see how Ulrich and Hetfeld controlled the band while everyone else was told what to do. Also, bringing in Dave Mustaine and hearing him bitch for 20 minutes was pretty funny.
Anyone else seen the documentary?
I'll download it for free.
I want to see it too. It's out now?

I'd watch it just to see the real life behind the music thing, Metallica can still go fuck themselves for their douchebaggery of the past 10 years.
The movie is out now in NY and LA. It's some great behind-the-scenes shit and you get to see Lars and James attack each other. Good stuff.

If any band was going to sell their story for money, it'd be Metallica. Are they really a band anymore? They're more like a corporation.
Be that as it may, it's still a good documentary. Damn, TNL has no love for Metallica.
Pretty much everyone who hasn't undergone a lobotomy stopped loving Metallica after the Black Album. Even then, you could feasibly understand why some people would still enjoy their music, up until St. Anger. At that point it became obvious that Lars and the gang's new tactic to battle P2P file-sharing was to make music no one would ever want to download.
As for the documentary, yeah I'll see it when I get the chance. Why? Because during their heyday Metallica made some of the best metal songs ever recorded. They also influenced countless bands that have since sadly surpassed them in terms of quality metal music.
Time for a change
