Thread: Jamie Foxx As Ray Charles in "Ray"

  1. Jamie Foxx As Ray Charles in "Ray"

Jamie Foxx looks like he was born to play as Ray Charles. I can't wait to see this.

  2. i dunno if thats jamie fox in that pic - it actually looks like ray charles himself... but if its not thats pretty cool looking. So is this his attempt to get a more serious reputation or something ala jim carrey?

Classy looking movie poster though - i like the simplicity of it.

  3. No, that's definitely Jamie Foxx in that picture. He just looks strikingly like him in that profile shot.

And he really does have the chops to do this role. He is a trained pianist and singer. Went to Julliard for piano and all that. He actually had a brief singing carreer during the height of his popularity on In Living Color.

I really hope he does well. He does have genuine talent, unlike some other black comedians/music artists I can list.

  4. That's a sweet poster.

  5. Jamie's all like trying to become a serious actor now. Crazy!

  6. Fox had a serious dramatic role in that FX movie (damn, I forget the name, Korian had a thread about that film a while back), and seem to be serious character in upcoming Michael Mann's film Collateral. I think he got some good acting skills, and I wish him luck.

    Agree, thats a cool poster.
