I have to go get this tomorrow. Would have had it today, but time wasn't on my side.

    This WILL be mine.

  2. Here's TVShowsonDVD's review - http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/siterevi...ReleaseID=3862

And linked from it is this massive thread about the cuts - http://cgi.tripod.com/lady_deathtouc...num=1096624687

Also of note from that thread, and what could have been QUITE AWESOME -
They were supposed to put Naked Beach Frenzy on as an Easter Egg....but I heard they didn't.

I watched the first DVD last night, and the only episode that is still entertaining to me after all these years is Stimpy's Invention. Fire Dogs gets an honorable mention for the huge fat lady and her plummeting animals. All the rest of the first-season eps are kinda... *weak chuckle* meh.

I guess I'm in the vast minority that thinks the show got better (as in, more insane, which is good IMO) with the second season onwards. True, some of the 4th/5th season episodes were just lame (Wiener Barons, Ol' Blue Nose), but there are some real gems in there like Hermit Ren and Abe Lincoln's Head. Maybe my liking of those means I have profound mental illness. Whatever.

  4. There were some good ones later on, yes. Like Stimpy's Cartoon Show, and the one where they adopted a convict. But alot of them just went overboard with the gross-out stuff and forgot it was the psychotic slant that made the formula work.

And by first season I mean the original 6 episodes they played on MTV

  5. Picked this up today. The episodes don't look that hot for being "digitally remastered". I still love the show! I even sang along with the Log commercial!!

Is it just me, or is "Man's Best Friend" missing from the 3rd disc? Please tell me I'm just not seeing it.

  7. That thread has a post about someone listening to the Man's Best Friend commentary, so odds are, you're just not seeing it. Also, apparantly, the order on the discs and the order listed on the packaging is different. That might be it as well.

I give up. I don't see Man's Best Friend on ANY disc.

  9. Isn't it an extra? Is that the banned episode?

  10. It isn't an extra, but it is the banned episode. The next SpikeTV ep WAS going to be an extra, as an easter egg. FX, that's odd man. I wish I'd have gotten the set tonight so I could confirm that one way or the other.
