There is a bear in my tree.

Ok, I wake up this morning, shower, and am trying to hurry cause I have a haircut apoitment. I notice there is a woman on my lawn aiming a camera up at the huge trees out in frount of my house. I think nothing of it, this town is filled w/ crazy tree huggers. I leave out the backdoor to get my haircut. I return about an hour later and notice my street is blocked off, and a larger group of people are standing on the corner staring at this tree. I still think at this point that it is falling or something (which would suck, cause my house would be crushed). As I walk towards my house I realize, oh, theres a black bear in the tree.

WTF!!!

Ok, yeah, I live in central Wisconsin, but we are in a relatively big city here. Any decent amount of woods are 2 miles away, and those are pretty isolated patches, not really connected to a larger chain of wilderness, so why and how did it get all the way here.

Anyway, its still up in the tree. DNR was here again a few minutes ago but left. Not sure what they will do, but Ill keep you guys posted (I wonder if I can keep it if they kill it).

No camera. Im not sure what they are doing...seems like they are just letting him chill up there. Maybe waiting for some specialists to come in.

Well, if they do hit him with tranqs he will either just pass out in the tree, or fall about 30 feet to the street. It will be really hard to catch him too.

I am in a house, he doesnt have thumbs so he probably cannot get in.

Apperantly their plan is to just let him stay up there until he comes down. Unforunetly the people who live across the street under the tree are kind of agitating him by starring, plus the other peopel coming up to look at him. He seems really scared and panting, so im not sure if he will actually get down until nightfall.

i like what i have in front of my house better, it's cheerleading camp. About 100 tan high school girls in short shorts jumping around and yelling for the last 3 days about 200 ft from my front door.

But bears are cool too ;P
