Thread: Now I need your help for bolt 3.

  1. I didn't know what the name was either.

  2. I don't have anything specific to say about the site, but frankly I just want to state that no new sites having anything to do with videogames should ever be made again. We have too many already. THE INTERNET IS CLOSED.

If you feel the need to write, talk, communicate, etc about games, start an LJ. It's theraputic and gay.

You're easily one of the best posters on TNL.

As far as the name of the site is concerned, it should be some reference to a vast repository of knowledge. Then there'd be something to "get," not some random FF spell. If you want to keep it a FF reference, name it Balamb Garden or Madain Sari or Daguerreo or Bugenhagen's Vast Gaming Repository or something...

I think the character database could be a draw, if it were the focus. When I search for a character, I want to see every game he was ever in. I want a degrees of Simon Belmont game. You see where I am going here?

I'd like to have a particular game's info page linked to other versions of the same game (if they exist), with an asterisk or something to show which one is hands down the best version.

Maybe there could be a vote to determine which version that would be. "Which system do I get this for?" is something I ask myself all the damn time.

GameSpot already does this for the current generation.

I have no clue because I never go there =X

    But that's cool.

I'd like to know about the older stuff too, though, but that's cool.

  9. I think you should cut your losses and move on.

Andrew, what you are talking about is basically offered at MobyGames + GameRankings.

TNL is a site with a lot of nerds pixel, and they find the name to be ridiculously stupid and the entire idea to be a waste. That should clue you in.

Speaking as a statistical analyst who has spent thousands on games over the last 20+ years and whose entire DVD collection is Sci Fi, anime, Indiana Jones, and Kevin Smith movies, I have no idea what you are talking about.
