More of these would have been nice.

I mean, the show is called Justice League Unlimited, and we still see too much of the core heroes.

The only episode to feature a whole bunch of the leaguers was one of the biggest copouts when it came to the action.

And that season finale sounds absolutely dreadful.

It's decent. It's a spoof on Superfriends. The biggest problem is the League members who participate were chosen because they were the big four on Superfriends and not because they actually fit in the episode.

Are you talking about the future heroes crossover? It might be interesting to watch - just give us a minumum on Static Shock, and focus on Terry McGuiness aka Batman Beyond and we may have a winner. I'm kind of curious to see future heroes we havent seen yet. Flash Beyond, Green Arrow Beyond, and Wonder Woman Beyond anyone?

The last thing I show like this needs is some kind of future heroes crossover.

Give us some super villain or some kind of event that makes use of ALL of the leaguers. I'd like for Darkseid to break the treaty, mount some HUMONGOUS attack on Earth, and make it possibly another movie like they have with every other season finale.

I mean, it's Justice League Unlimited, and they've barely scratched the surface and all the heroes they showed at the beginning. An event like the one I listed would extremely awesome, and could really give the league a run for it's money.

Or hell, just recreate the Doomsday run in the comics. But wait, they've already had Doomsday on the show, and they punked him out. They also had all the leaguers come together for a threat, and they wasted that as well (should have been a two parter).

I mean, we don't even see the Flash anymore, and Martian Manhunter is some kind of operator now, which is lame since he's one of the more powerful DCU heroes.

I'm just sick of seeing Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern all the time. It seems that some of these episodes are ideas or leftovers from when the show was just Justice League, like the Mongul episode, or the Kids Universe episode =/

Well, I'm sure if we get future heroes coming back in time there must be a hell of a villan for everyone to be fighting. As long as we see some of the fighting - like you were saying...

I know.Sounds like they are just to afraid to take a risk and showcase some of these different heroes more often (the kiddies wouldnt know who Animal Man or Vibe are.....fuck the kiddies...). But episodes like the Booster one and the Question ep should be proof that these non-core League episodes can work.

This one was actually one of my favorite episodes. Its sucked seeing Doomsday get owned that bad , but it does make you think. Superman must have some serious self control if he could've melted Doomsdays brain to a pulp back in the Death of Superman stories. Could've saved himself a lot of trouble in the long run, but that itself is a testament to his character and morals.

Goddammit that Kids Universe (Ha!) episode was good. But, yeah the Mongul one and the horrific Wonder pig episode. What a waste...

Yes. This and two others have already aired in Canada.

Ultimen features a group of heroes based on the added characters in Superfriends. The Wonder Twins for example. My least favorite of the next three.

Dark Heart focusus on The Atom. This was my favorite of the new three. A handful of funny lines, great characterization on The Atom and Batman is used fairly well. I get annoyed when Bat's is used like he is in, say, Ultimen. But in this he sticks mostly to the Batplane and strategizing. He also has to be saved, twice.

Wake the Dead features the return of Grundy and Hawkgirl, now sans mask. I liked this one too, but a bit too dramatic for repeat viewings.

Also the season finale got changed to the next season premier.

No one knows, but that makes the most sense.

Bruce Timm said this over at the Toon Zone Forums concerning "Once and Future Thing."

instead of it being this season's 2-part finale, it's now going to be next season's 2-part premiere....to replace it, we've moved up "the cat and the canary" -- which is one of our very best episodes EVER, imho, absolutely kickass -- and "miracles happen", which, besides featuring the dcau "speaking debut" of mr. miracle, the return of granny goodness and big barda, also features the return of a character who's been, shall we say, noticeably m.i.a. lately....

  9. Betcha it's Darkseid.
