  1. Teen Titans was pretty awesome, but nothing like the comic.

I haven't ever seen an episode of "The Batman" but Meredith likes it.

It's bad... Joker looks like something out of ICP artwork, as he has dreads and shit, and he has moves like Beast does (using his feet, great agility, etc), and throws razor blade joker cards (think Gambit, sort of)... the art style blows... and other clips I saw had Scarface played by Krusty the Clown (no joke).

  3. I broke out my JLU dvds the other day and I could seriously watch the entire series in one sitting. Of course I'd make a mess of myself. I hope they bring the shit back. There was really no reason to end it when it was getting so damn good.

This was ok, but it seemed like it took place in a different continuity than JLU, which was disappointing.

  5. My main gripe with the Braniac dvd.... Lex doesnt have the same VA.

You would think that Powers Boothe would do a good job filling in for Clancy Brown (Powers was awesome as Gorilla Grodd), but I was stunned on how horrible Lex was in Brainiac Returns. I don't blame Powers though, I blame the writers.

Brainiac Returns was written by the same guy(s?) who did The Batman vs Dracula, so that should tell you about the film's quality. Instead of getting the cold, calculating evil genius Lex in JLU, we got a rich goofball ("Percy, go get me some popcorn"). The plot was a step down from "The Batman"-quality. The fact that they used the Bruce Timm designs instead of Jeff Matsuda's designs for this story was a goddamn shame. Just pretend it doesn't exist in the DCAU we know and love and you'll be fine.

Stop hoping, it won't come back. Get over it.

I understand the want... but the best way to ease the pain is to let go It was honestly announced forever ago it was canceled, so there's no way it'll come back.

  10. It had a great run, these shows have been with us for so long it's weird to live in a world without new DCAU episodes, but at least we got the DVDs (if I have children this is something I would want to pass down to them). The DCAU really was the best thing television animation had to offer, and I don't think anything is going to come close to surpassing it.
