Thread: Pork paranoia

  1. Just had some ribs for my b-day, good stuff. Nothing says "great, satisfying lunch" quite like a plate of messy, meaty ribs.

  2. Pork is best fresh off the pig, I suggest you visit a farm and start biting.

  3. Griot is great. It's a haitian thing though,I think, so I don't know where to get it from besides family members.

  4. Most people overcook pork, and since it's so lean, it comes out tough. Properly prepared pork can taste better than steak. I can't stand that pale, boiled pork they put in ramen, either. Head over to Chinatown and get yourself some barbecued pork.

  5. Pork Ribs - that's all you need. After anything and everything beef, I mean, of course.

  7. Breakfast sausage owns all other meats. I made me a nice breakfast burrito yesterday morning and it was fantastic. Sausage, rice, jalapenos, onions, a scrambled egg, salsa & cheese all wrapped up in a wheat tortilla. Soooooo tasty. Of course I have no idea how easy or hard that would be to get over there.

    The trick with eggs, is to fry them in 1/2 the greese left from frying breakfast. You get a lot more flavor, and you don't waste as much oil.
