Big things moving in the story these past 2 weeks. We now know who Durga is, major things have happened in the Jan storyline, and Jan and Jersey's storylines are merging, it seems. http://qube.netninja.com/beewiki/ is the best place to catch up on the storyline and what's been going on with the story.

Man, I love how this falls into the Halo universe so well, it really adds alot of depth to it. Is the dialogue going to be as intricate in Halo 2? I certainly hope so.

It helps if you read the books to know what's going on, if anyone wants me to explain anything, I'd be happy to.

I haven't kept up with the game part of the ARG, just the storyline that's unfolding. For that, it's easier to just hit http://qube.netninja.com/beewiki/ .

There's only 2~3 weeks left in the game, IMO, so I don't know if I'd start now. As to the books, START READING! They are very well written, and really flesh out the Halo Universe, especially the Spartan II program and Master Chief. They are also relatively quick reads (compared to, say, Dune or LOTR) too. You'll wish you'd read First Strike before the second game, unless you want to get the story from a short recap that Bungie would be wise to put in the intro to the game.

edit: Read Fall of Reach and First Strike, as they are new material, The Flood is essentially a retelling of the game with more detail (and a different writer).

Fall of Reach is essentially the prequel story to Halo, and First Strike is (in theory) the story between Halo 1 and Halo 2.
