i wouldn't be suprised if he gives the money back - if he went so far to retire like this with some conviction behind it after all...
I hope he gets what he deserves.
see...there is no problem in making millions and deciding to retire later on. I mean..Buster Douglas did it after beating down Tyson back in the day.....and he seems okay.
The problem with R. Williams was the timing of it all. To quite 1-2 weeks before training is appalling. It put the coach, the team, and the owners in a very difficult position. He should have given notice of his "retirement" much earlier.

He's in great shape, has attended all camps, and dropped weight. He was set to tear it up this year. The man's been abused near Earl Campbell proportions the past two years and you can't question his past effort or production. He willingly and knowingly failed his drug tests because why put in the effort to pass a drug test for a job you don't want or intend to keep? Again, the timing of the decision is the problem, but Miami can trade Ogunleye to the Bears for A-Train. This is a worse setback than the Carlos Boozer saga but the franchise has to regroup and move on.Originally Posted by Yoshi

Do you realize how many professional athletes burn trees and still produce at a championship level? It's when they start bumping rails that you should worry.

The quirky, 27-year-old former Heisman Trophy winner told The Miami Herald marijuana played a large role in his decision to walk away after just five pro seasons. He told the newspaper he failed a third drug test for marijuana use, which would cost him a four-game suspension if he returns, and said he learned of the failed test days before telling coach Dave Wannstedt he was done playing.
All you you whiny assholes who feel sorry for Ricky now can eat my ass.

Where exactly in this statement:
I'm not a football fan, so I don't know much about him, but calling any man 'a dumb piece of shit' for wanting to make changes in his life when he is unhappy and doing something that he feels would make him happy is simply retarded.
do I say I feel sorry for the man?
Best memory of Ricky is when he gave interviews with his helmet still on when playing in NO. Good stuff![]()
