The Village is a remarkable improvement on anything Shyamalan has done before. In fact, it’s so much of an improvement that compared to this, The Sixth Sense feels like a second-rate student film; and that’s saying something.

I just got out of an employee screening of this and this movie makes unbreakable look good. M. Night shows that writing is not one of his better qualities since the dialogue just becomes laughably bad and i called the twist a mile away. So the big twist is.....

The village actually takes place in modern times and the elders of the village all met in a counseling center for murder victims somewhere in New York inwhich the leader of the village is infact a billonaire who builds the village in the middle of a huge nature preserve to create a simplistic society without money or crime. Oh and the creatures were all just made up by the elders.
