Thread: SUPERBABIES: Baby Geniuses 2

  1. Yuck SUPERBABIES: Baby Geniuses 2

    Who the hell greenlighted this?

I mean, was there some huge demand for a sequel to the first?

  2. Between this and Anacondas I think I'm just about ready to kill myself.

Sorry guys, not quite there yet.

  3. yes, there was an oddly huge demand for this. when i went to visit my family for a wedding in Kolkata, India; a large number of unrelated folks came to me and asked me if I had seen Baby Geniuses. They ranted about how great it was. ranted!!

  4. See, it's tough... if we destroyed Hollywood, we'd lost some of the great movies that come out, but at the same time we'd get rid of stuff like this.

  6. I'm not sure what's worse, the premise of the movie or the fact that the cars are all over the trailer.

Indeed, Kevin Crust in the Los Angeles Times writes that the movie "may quite easily put an end to any discussion of what is the worst theatrical release of 2004." Lou Lumenick in the New York Post calls it "spectacularly awful, way worse than you'd expect from a supposed family film being dumped into Hollywood's version of the Bermuda Triangle: a late-August release by a studio (Columbia) resorting to an alias (Triumph)." And Mike Clark in USA Today refers to it as "a late-August dog-days atrocity from the 'aren't farts funny?' school of filmmaking."
