Thread: Doom 3 System Specs Revealed

  1. PC Gamer said the game is a lot more videocard intensive than processor intensive, and can deal with a mildly lacking CPU without too much of a problem. Like I said... I really dont think you're gonna have a problem with the game.

  2. Cool! I'm hoping a demo version will be available online soon!

  3. I'm now debating whether to get this game now or in a year or so when I have a better machine...

    AMD XP 1800+
    512 MB of DDR
    GeFX 5200 Ultra

Should be able to run it without any problems but not sure how much I'm gonna have to cut back on details.

Replace those Pentiums with Athlons, and you'll be even better.

  7. I think I should be able to run it just fine, probably close to mid spec -

    P4 2.53 GHz
    GeForce4 Ti 4600
    512MB RAM

This is the first PC game in a long while that I'm going to rush out and buy. I really can't wait.

Anyone have any idea why it's selling for $54.99 everywhere?

Blizzard did this too, with Warcraft 3. Since this game is going to be so popular, they feel they can get away with price gouging.

HOWEVER!!! Roufuss has come to save you.

Next week at Circuit City, the game will be there on August 6th and will retail for 44.99. I'm not sure on the other stores, but I assume Best Buy will offer up the same type of deal (or you can just pricematch, it'll be in next weeks ad)

  9. Thanks for the heads up Roufuss.
