Our definitions of the system and Nintendo's games couldn't be more different.Sorry, but it takes more to impress me than N64 technology, a stupid gimmick (where the best we've seen of it is "gameplay on top, map on bottom"... wooo), and a lame same-old same-old lineup of Nintendo games to impress me.

Soo..This thing really is launching in November? I'm surprised we haven't been hit with a media blitz.
Despite Nintendo being total fuck ups already when it comes to the wi-fi play, I still want one. I'm still going to give it a waiting period though. I felt pretty burned on the GBA since i bought it, got Wario Ware and Mario Kart, then realized that every other good game on the GBA was just an SNES port.
Basically, I'm going to wait for the actual original games to come out before I hop on board. Though knowing me, I'll jump the gun the second Animal Crossing, Wario Ware and that awesome YuGiOh game are all out at once.
SERIOUSLY. If that YuGiOh game uses the card rules for once, best game ever.
Play Guitar Hero //
Why don't you think it'll be that high? Don't you think that Nintendo will use the opportunity to squeeze as much out of their initial adopters, like me, before the PSP launches? Remember the home consoles this gen, and the way the prices dropped? I expect the same thing from the DS and PSP.Originally Posted by kbuchanan
That said, not this time Nintendo. It doesn't pay to buy a system at launch and then a few months later, they have a special bundle that might include a game. I'll pick this up when they offer a nice package deal.
I'm going to wait for the SP to drop to $50, also. Unless the DS takes a significant price drop, I'll just wait for the next console wars to begin.
I'm with ya on that one. I think the DS is gonna be pretty amazing, but I'm gonna wait a while for this one. Maybe give it a year or 2 to see if Nintendo doesn't throw out the next GB or some super awsome special DS like they did with the GB advance.Originally Posted by Spike
I just don't think that that's affordable and Nintendo has insisted that it will be, if it is that much then I can't get it at launch and that's a bunch of crap. I don't think it'll be that much.Originally Posted by Spike

I want to see them make good use of the stylis. That is a great innovation for a handheld system, and I imagine RTS's on hand helds like Command and Conquer and Warcraft 3, and so forth because moving units would be just as easy to do as with a mouse.
Alas, nothing like this seems on the horizon. It's all map on top, gameplay on bottom.
