Since I just beat Opposing Force for the first time ever, I went to my IGN page to add it and grade it... so I type in Half Life to the search. All the usual suspects pop up, as well as:
Half Life (Source Code Remake)
Opposing Force (SCR)
Blue Shift (SCR)
So uh, wtf? Anyone heard anything on this? Are they FREE off of Steam when you get HL2? That would rock so hard.
every 1st party mod and expansion is being converted to source. i doubt they'll have new textures and models, but the lighting and physics will certainly get a boost.
it's not clear just how we'll be able to get the games either. they might only be available with the collector's edition. who knows.
one interesting thing i read about the half-life 1 port is that the crossbow works very differently now that the bolts are being physically modeled. like, you'll be able to pin enemies to the wall.
My #1 request is that this fixes the GETTING STUCK ON ELEVATORS shit that happened like fucking 15 times when I played through the steam-updated versions.
Same here, that was gay. I hope they remake all the enemies models, but even that seems unlikely. Oh well, CS:Source beta starts tommorow, will post impressions.
