Yet another IGN preview of this game. This one covers details on the ultra-nonsensical story mode. It is so corny and convulted (kinda like every other single fighting game ever made) it ends up being hilarious.

"If you win this one (fight), you're confronted by some gold medal winning girl called Matoko or Makoko, but everyone calls her the Judo Babe. She just wants to, "Do this! Fight! Fight! Fight!" Alright then... In response, Reiko psyches herself up and yelps, "Fight!" But we don't actually fight. Instead, we just appear in a ring away from all the mud and find ourselves confronted by a very seductive nurse named Anesthesia. Don't try figuring it out because this game rocks."

Yeah.

One aside: The wrestling system is very similar to Smackdown, but the button layout is completely different. I have no idea why; I think they are making it different for the sake of making it different from Smackdown. Also, apparently the boss is named "Lady X," which has me initially thinking of Ior^H^H^HMiss X from Gals Fighter, until I realized it was a cyborg. (So that would make it Dura^H^H^H^HLady X.)

Has anyone mentioned the audio in this game blows hard? I am not talking about just the voice acting (which is god-awful, but may be intentionally god awful for that corny effect), but there seem to be lots of sound effects that are either completely missing or sound really weak. I do not know why, but I hope for a Japanese language track (just so I can not understand what they are saying).

Also with the preview are a truckload of movies (twenty!), which are worth seeing if only for the piss-poor lip synching.
