Thread: New Crotch-Crushing Rumble Roses Images!

  1. new video over at ign shows how well built the character models are in-game.

    pretty much shows off the models bending stretching and moving with no seam problems or overly noticable clipping.

  2. Yeah I saw that one. The butt physics need some serious work.

    Other than that I'm suprised to see character models this good on the PS2. Of course those models were all on a white screen with no background effects, but still.

  3. Well, no 3D wrestling game has had good collision detection, but most 2D ones are just fine in that regard. Again, why is this thread still separate from mine?

  5. got bored and found a new fight video over at game informer, then whipped up a quick animation of anathesia's rope special(supposedly, it might be a normal move) for you guys that dont want to dl a 14meg video with shitty sound quality.

  6. The animation in this game so far is really inconsistent. Sometimes brilliant, othertimes wretched. For all that attention to detail, I'd hope the walking animation is improved at least.

  8. You should have linked to the goods (if only to provide a source). Sure, people could find the preview on Game Informer easily enough, along with the video in question. Good job with the animated GIF, regardless.

    Couple of gameplay details from that article (you mean people are going to play this game?):

    -The special meter stacks, and building it up multiple levels allows you to do different specials. Completely standard for a fighting game, but I am having a hard time thinking of a wrestling game with a multi-tiered special/finisher system like that.

    -Apparently embarassing your opponent can backfire, resulting in a pissed off opponent (with more moves and more power). They don't go into detail how, but I would have to guess that using a humiliation move and failing to peace out your opponent would do it.

    One other note on the new IGN movie: the body physics look wonky where the ass/breasts and the base model meet. This is most noticable with Bloody Shadow (the ninja chick), watch as her chest moves and the mesh that she is wearing does not deform; it just stretches to cover the gap instead. Looks really weird.

  9. just saw some shots in the latest famitsu wave. there are some screens of alternate outfits/alter egos.

    dixie in all black chaps riding a motorcycle(ala Undertaker)

    gimp chick in her alt outfit(cat suit), and with her mask off(the tattoo on her
    right boob is the same as the in catsuit, so this is an accurate assumption)

    reiko wearing jean shorts over her wrestling gear

    some kind of shoulderbreaker slam/submission move(looks like an inverted shouldbreaker(opp upside-down landing on your knee), and then they strap them in for a submission

    lots of camera work that is "above" the action(2/3rds of the ingame match shots had the camera placed above the wrestlers)

    lots of alternate colors(dixie in leather brown, reiko in blue, etc)

    no shots yet of the newly announced "punk rocker" chick or the "rumored" fighting nun character tho.

    look, when the walking animation gets fixed in a WWE game, then we can talk about something like this. until then, we just suck it up and play the game(who the shit bitches about walking animations in a wrestling title? it doesnt matter in the long run unless you're REALLY anal)

    I don't play wrestling games, because they always look terrible to me, so how would I know. Terrible game mechanics, animation, collision detection, and, oh yeah, that awful license they're hamstringed with. With RR, I thought I might give wrestling games another shot.

    All the grappling in VF4 or DOA3 looks consistenly amazing along with everything else, I don't see why a wrestling game (a game that's almost entirely character driven and focused on the moves) can't get everything up to par.
