Thread: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Trailer

  1. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou Trailer

    Life Aquatic Trailer

The trailer was just released, looks pretty good. It stars Bill Murray and Owen Wilson, directed by Wes Anderson (Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, and The Royal Tenenbaums).

I'm a huge Wes Anderson fan, and this looks to be more of the same quirky shit.

  2. Barring some huge oversight, I wouldn't be surprised if this is the best movie of the year. Wes Anderson makes classy movies, I'm really looking forward to this one.

  3. Looks good. Bill Murray back to doing comedy where he should be. Definite improvement over the snooze-fest that was "Lost in Translation".

  4. Just wanted to give this a bump because this amazing looking movie comes out this month. Dec. 10th NY and LA, wide on Christmas.

  5. Has my favorite Sigur Ros song on the soundtrack!

  6. Murray will not stop now until he gets an Oscar. I don't know why he was up for one to begin with, he was just being Bill Murray in Lost in Translation, just like in every movie he's in. And he'll probably get one out of pity at some point, just like Halle Berry and Denzel Washington did the year that everyone was bitching that blacks never win for Best Actor and Actress.

  7. He was being much more than his standard Bill Murray in Lost In Translation. He was funny yeah, but he also showed more acting chops than he has ever before.

And I don't exepect him to win an oscar for this movie, its going to fall into the "weird" category for sure in a lot of peoples minds. It looks to be much more of a obvious comedy than Royal Tennebaums and Rushmore. And his character is not nearly as "normal" as it was in his last batch of movies, being a nuatical adventurer and what not.

Sorta, but not really. For the most part I didn't notice him doing much of anything but his usual shtick.

As opposed to being, say, a Ghostbuster?

  9. I saw the trailer for this on TV last night. Bill Murray being wacky makes me laugh. Instant purchase.

    ...of ticket.

Well I was talking about his movies where he had award buzz, which was Lost in Translation and Rushmore, because the conversation was about his chances of an award for this project.
