Yeah, except that there "more accessible" means "not as deep." I'm really having trouble understanding why you're comparing one of the best games in its genre to a mediocre game in its respective genre.

Because sales is not a good indicator of how good a game is. It is like saying SSBM is a MUCH better game than any fighting game to date.

What's there to not understand? He means that HALO 2 is anticipated by many, and hence there is a lot of hype and "buzz" about the game. So he was equating a tactile response to the sensation of anticipating the game.

I can't walk into any gaming store without having SOMEONE mentioning Halo 2. When is Halo 2 coming out. Did you see the new wallpaper. What the fuck was with that Halo 2 weekly update. Man I can't wait until Halo 2. I heard in Halo 2 ninjas run around on fire.

Yeah, Metroid Prime was an above average game, but Halo multiplayer is huge. HUGE. Go around to your favorite game stores, ask how many copies of Halo 2 have been pre-ordered as opposed to how many Metroid Prime 2 copies are on hold... the difference is staggering.

Halo 2 is just more accessible to a far wider audience... kids, adults, casual gamers, the hardcore, etc. Halo 2 will sell more Xboxes. Halo 2 will sell more subscriptions to Live.

So how does that affect (a) which game you are looking forward to more (the original topic) or (b) which game will stand the test of time better (what Diffx and I were talking about)?

Seriously, there's absolutely nothing wrong with using the word "feel" instead of "anticipate". Look up "anticipate" in any dictionary, infact look here.

I didn't say ANYTHING about not being able to anticipate a game. I just said I don't "feel Halo 2 coming". I don't "feel MP2 coming", I don't "feel this or that coming", etc...

Same thing, he used "feel" as a metaphoric substitute.
