I was wondering how much this cost to make. 31 million is really fucking cheap, damn. DVD sales will make up for that easy. Hurray about a sequel.

no name actors don't command absurd paychecks. and a sequel sounds good to me. wonder where they'll go from here. the total dismantling of the "evil empire"?

all I'm saying is I thought Serenity was a better movie overall than War. I like War enough yes, but Serenity was never boring or stupid. But I can definetly see how people would like War of the Worlds over this. Thats all.

I am not saying that Serenity is bad, I liked it. I liked War of the Worlds better, it's just a personal preference. I am not one of those style over substance people either, I have seen A LOT of movies from the crappiest B-movie up to artsy independant films.

I read an interview with Whedon in EW or somewhere a while back and he said he wanted this to be a trilogy.Also he said that he wouldn't rule out the possibility of a spinoff show on the Sci Fi Channel.

Is this movie really any good? Every preview I've seen makes it look like horrible B-level "made for the USA network" sci-fi or something. The jokes in the trailer are terrible, and the "OMG cute young girl is a superweapon" has been done too often and comes off as cheezy in the trailer.

Everybody seems to be on this movie's dick, and from what (granted, little) I've seen of it, I can't understand why. Or do you have to have a hard-on for Buffy and Angel (which I don't) in order to care about it?

I really dont like Buffy or Angel at all but I really like Firefly as well as this movie and really the cute girl as a superweapon is not the central storyine . There are some really cool concepts in this show and the characters most of them at least are why its good.
