Do you own a Japanese or modded PS2?

I got a JPS2 waaaaay on the cheap side with a handful of games. Bemani usage for me, but there are a few titles I'd like to pick up sometime that won't get a stateside release.

And I like to use it for Ragukai Showtime
Gradius V cause I have not patience

It's silver and pretty, and I like having it around.

I've got a Japanese system mainly for shooters (DDP, ESP, Shikigami, etc.)
But also for games like Virtua Racing, Futari No Fantavision, Virtual On Marz, The Block Kuzushi Hyper, among others.

I'm also looking forward to playing things like Buchigire Kongou, Ka2, Yoshinoya, those Hudson remakes and Virtua Fighter 2.

I'm replacing my Japanese PS2 with a modded one soon (already on order). Like people have already said, there's be a real surge of games coming to the US lately, a lot more than I expected when I bought my JPS2.

Yeah, I got a PS2 with the DMS3 chip installed. It allows me to play DVD's from any region and of course Imports/Backups/Originals of any PS1 or PS2 game.

Does the flip-top mod let you play import PSOne games? I'm trying to think of the best import solution for my money, but I want it to be able to play US/Jap PSOne/PS2 games.
