So did anyone ever end up buying this thing?
I'm only dreading having to say, and then spell the word for the EB clerk so they can look it up, and then punch in a pre-order for me. If they can't do that, I'll just buy it online. EB's site ships quickly, anyway.

Did it come out?
I haven't seen it anywhere yet, I'd have picked it up if I had.
It doesn't come out for another month.

Panzer General was garbage. In fact all strategy games that run on the hexagon-grid system are except for People's General, which rocked.Originally Posted by diffusionx

Military Madness rules, you don't know what you're talking about.
I'm not so sure this has to do with just Japanese named games. I had to freakin spell out "Advance Guardian Heroes" like 4 times for the kid at Gamestop, back when that came out. And I shouldn't even dredge up the nonsence that ensued when shopping around for Rez. Heck, just last night I got the blank stare/wtf look at Gamestop when I told 'em their web site listed the store with multiple copies of Firefighter F.D. 18. Sure enough we found a copy amongst the completely unorganized shelves, but it took way too long, and the one clerk was sure no such game existed. They were completely thrown by the "F.D. 18" part. I got more cooperation once I said the game was called just "Firefighter"Originally Posted by Jeremy
I think the real problem is that most putz clerks have no idea what game products are out there - not to mention what is in their stores under their very noses. And unless a game is huge like Suikoden, then the Japanese name is going to place it further from the average clerks awareness. And even though Jap-centric entertainment is bigger than ever in the US, any older gamers I know still scoff at anything with a foriegn sounding name. Like I told them all about Katamari Damaci, and no one wanted to hear a word about another queer Japanese game. But then they see us playing it and everyone is all like "huh, neat, what's this?"
sorry if you read all that, really pointless in regard to the thread. I just had to vent over clerks who sigh and roll their eyes at you because they don't know a game exists.
So, like, is this game finally out yet, and has anybody played it?
