Don't worry. The Eagles will be in the Superbowl. They could even win it too!Originally Posted by Yoshi
JAX at Greenbay was an incredible game. Can't believe they won at Lambo in 0 degree weather.
I predicted Jacksonville to be the surprise team of this season, early on and they haven't disappointed. I thought the lame interception call in the endzone with 4 minutes left, was a bit flaky though.

I would also like someone to explain to me how the Jets haven't clinched a berth yet. They're 2 games up on everyone else in the AFC wild card picture with 2 games to play. And they also apparently own tiebreakers on everyone (except the Ravens, but that's only one team) due to a better conference record.
If they lose their two remaining games and other teams win theirs, they will have identical conference records, and the next tie-breaker is records in common games, then strength of victory and schedule, I believe. I don't think the Jets have that tie-breaker sewn up yet.
BTW, the officiating in the SEA-NYJ game was awful. Not saying the outcome would have been different, but there's more of a reason to play when you're down 7 than 23.
We're two wins up on everybody in conference games with one to play. I mean obviously there must be some scenario where the Jets don't make the playoffs but I just don't see it.
And yeah, you guys got robbed. I agree that I think the Jets win anyway but as a Seahawks fans you have to hate playing the Jets. It seems like you guys get fucked every time.
You play 12 in-conference games. Everyone does. The Jets can fall to 7-5, the rest can rise to 7-5. The next tiebreaker is record in common games (like, if all three played team X and Y, whoever has the best record against the two teams would win). Then it's strength of victory and schedule (I think). After that, there's a ton more. One year (about 4 years ago, I think) it went down to point totals, so in W17, a few teams really lit up the scoreboard (all for naught, as another team won and wiped that tie-breaker out). Last but not least is a coin toss ;p
So the Jets can tie the Bills in division record and the Broncos and Jaguars in conference record if they lose to the Pats (and obviously the Rams, too). And then some other tiebreaker comes up that can fuck them. Makes sense.
Makes this Pats game more important, it seems. : (
