What I want to know is if the steed system is an afterthought. I'd love to be able to have joust competitions or battles on horses, or maybe get chased from a town by a troop of knights on horseback. Something tells me it's more to just get places with increased speed, but who knows.
sadly no mounted combat, they decided fairly early that it woudl be difficult to balance, so it isnt in,maybe in an expansion, almost definitly in a mod(for the wise pc game buyers ) but not in the shipped oblivion.

  2. That'd be awesomel. Even if they just add in bows and not swords I would be happy. Riding a horse, then pulling out a bow and laying an arrow in to the shoulder of a guard nearby would be great. With all the stuff already implemented in to the game I don't care. It would have been nice, but it doesn't matter.

  3. I'd just like to point out that theres so much fucking hype for this game that maybe we should be a little more hesitant. I can see this being either the best game of all time or the most dissapointing game of all time.

true, i dont know that i will be dissapointed, as i really just want a few things.
    1. i want to play an aragonian. the devs have stated they are in.
    2. i want to have a useful hand to hand skill, the devs stated h2h does health and fatigue damage, so it good.
    3. i want lots and lots of little areas to explore. the devs recently were quoted as saying there are over 200 dungeons
    4. i want cool quests for lots of factions that really define my characters personality..well, heres a little worry the devs are now only talking about 4 major factions, fighters guild, thieves guild, dark brotherhood, and mages guild. im hoping that there are other guilds, and they just dont have customized storylines, because if i cant join the nine divines church, ill be pissed.

so as i see it, its mostly a foregone conclusion for me that i will enjoy ob, they could screw up the aragonians by making them too human, or make hand to hand only boxing moves, or fuck up the design of the 200 dungeons, but its unlikely. so at the very least, ill get what i enjoyed out of morrowind. so the only way to go is up.

True, but sometimes it's just fun to get lost in the hype.

  6. Oh I totally agree Andrew, I'm as hyped for this game as I was for Mario 64 (which was alot). Its just that I don't want this to suffer the same fate as fable where the developers promise a dream game and don't deliver to much criticism, despite the fact its a pretty fantastic game.

Is the Dark Brotherhood an assasins guild? of all the guilds, I enjoyed being in the Morag Tong the most.

shit, gotta go play Morrowind now...

I enjoyed Fable immensely, and was one of it's biggest advocates in the official Fable thread, but I also understood the hatred that people showed towards the game. They offered the universe and only delivered a continent of one world. For me, though, the game displayed a great amount of old world charm, and a lot of the mystical atmosphere that British writers excel at so I became immersed.

I don't think Bethesda is really promising things that won't make it in. Where Molyneux spun hype from idea's and theories he had about the game Bethesda is spinning them from facts and what is there. I think my biggest wish for a game like this is the ability to make the game in to a small MMO. I mean, if I host a game online I should be able to give you the IP and you can come and play too. (maybe join an opposing guild, or work with me, or whatever) I don't think it's viable but I'd love it if it was.

I'm seriously reinstalling it to replay.

Yes, they're the primary assassin's guild on the Imperial mainland and the one that you could join in Daggerfall.
    Time for a change

I have it for Xbox, but there's no way I'm going to restart again if its not on PC.

  10. Morrowind related posts moved to the relevant thread, just to keep things kind of on-topic. So if your post's missing, that's where it went.
