Too many other games on the horizon for me to warrant a purchase at this time.
But my girlfriend'll get it, and she'll enjoy it greatly I'm bettin!
The Sims 2 is coming out this week. It looks amazing. GameRankings has 2 reviews up, average score is 97%. Looks like a possible GOTY.
I was no fan of the first game, but it looks like they expanded on it in all the right places.
Who is getting this? Im reluctant to pay $50 but I figure there will be some big sales upon release, and Im just gonna wait for Roufuss to fill me in. If its selling for $35-$40 anywhere I might get it.

I really enjoyed the first one (the actual first one, never played any of the expansions) and think this one looks to be even better. I'll most likely wait a bit to get this since there are some other games on the Xbox I plan to get first.
I liked the first one, but I can't justify getting this soon when there are so many other games that interest me coming out soon, and for a better price.

I really don't care, but my girlfriend is beyond excited. She pre-bought it weeks ago.

i loved the first sims. for a week. then the constant bitching about bathrooms and general boredom got to me.
i'm going to try again with this game, though. it looks awesome, and it looks like the basics are taking a backseat to more interesting events.. i mean, i saw a screenshot of a sim having an argument with a paper airplane. nice.

I LOVED the Sims so I am most definetly getting this. I'm also still getting The Urbz since it seems like the greatest thing ever.
Too bad the EA Store won't be selling the DVD versionsI'm pretty tempted to actually buy this on my own just to get it on a single DVD and not 5 billion CD's.

I thought the Sims was boring, repetitive crap, and it is my experience that anybody who liked it did so because they cheated to give themselves infinite money.
It made a good playground, but they fucked it up by making you work your way up in a real boring and crap dimension where eating dinner takes over an hour of your time.
