Dukes of Hazzard movie

It's been confirmed today by "Variety", that "Newlyweds" star Jessica Simpson will indeed be starring in the big screen version of "The Dukes Of Hazzard".

She joins the already cast Good Ol' Boys Johnny Knoxville as Luke, and Sean William Scott as Bo, alongside Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg in the film, which will be directed by Jay Chandrasekhar ("Super Troopers") from a script by John O'Brien who helped out with "Starsky & Hutch".

Although I've never seen this series before, I can imagine Jessica Simpson as Daisy Duke.

For these types of characters, that's some pretty good casting.

Holy Christ. Burt Reynolds used to be considered the world's sexiest man and now he's playing Boss Hogg. Wow.

ugh. This sounds bad. I really don't like the casting of Bo and Luke, and I HATE the fact that they're making it a comedy a la Starsky and Hutch.
