Me and Korly made up off the wall stories for what the fuck was going on. As for the x to o, that is bugging me, but only because I got so used to it, and Metal Gear is that way too.
I agree...comprehension is lame.

In general, developers should get their shit together and standardize which buttons do what standard actions throughout genres. Every vaguely action-oriented game has a jump button and a basic attack button, and they should be the same for each one. Even better, let me pick.
If it makes you happy, I understood 98% of everything just fine. The flash and flare in the character movements and dialogue just felt lost in translation. That's all.Originally Posted by burgundy
Don't you mean Metal Gear keeps the J settings? At least I remember playing Snake Eater that way.Originally Posted by Chux

It does make me happy.
The only thing I found distracting were the voice acting changes...particularly when there are like five versions of each main character, and the clue is supposed to be a consistent voice across both games. Otherwise, the main actors seem to be great.
That's what I meant, in Metal Gear O is confirm.Originally Posted by Rocca
Easy my ass. In Proud Mode, I mistakenly went to Beast's Castle before Chinaland, and took some serious beatings before I figured out what to do. It really took everything I had to get through.
Playing Proud Mode right away, huh? It can get annoying from time to time. It's more like Normal with longer random Dusk fights then real difficulty. By the numbers stuff. Anyway, it's my 2nd playthrough and I'm a little further than where you are. I think you'll like the game less if you play it on Hard right away (even though its not really that bad).
Obviously, I don't know what Normal is like, but for a while, two hits from the fat guys were enough to kill me. You really can't absorb damage in Proud, at least not yet.
