Someone please tell me that this picks up after Day 5. I'm dying of boredom. Is S-E intentionally trying to kill the experience for newcomers or rental customers?
LOL. Obviously I knew what he meant.
The whole point of the game is the search for Riku. Of course you're not seeing him three hours in.

I'd rather watch 2 Disney movies with that time.
I can't argue this. But it tells a story in the long run.
It's all quite vital to the story. And it's only that long if you explore the shit out of everything, which is ultimately totally unnecessary.
The flashbacks are disorganized. I haven't learned much except that Sora lost his memory, is stuck in the matrix, and made a promise to Kairi. They didn't have to take 3 hrs to explain that. I've been trying to whip through this intro as fast as possible. IIRC I quit KH1 because it had the same problem in the beginning. I'm totally going on faith here that you guys are right, and there's something worthwhile later. I'll put in some more hours tonight.Originally Posted by burgundy

If you quit KH, you shouldn't have wasted your time here. KH2 isn't a spiritual or thematic sequel...it's quite literally the direct continuation of KH and CoM. I guess I can see if you skipped CoM (hell, I have it but haven't played it much yet) since it's a much different kind of game on a different system, but really...what do you expect to find here that you didn't find in the first game?
Better camera plus Steamboat Willie. Good enough?Originally Posted by burgundy
