sweet. thanks. btw, how long is the game, is it in the 50 hour range like the first KH?(atleast that's how long it took me)
Yeah, once you start rolling in the actuall party and playing as Sora things pick up quick.
Really, the worlds are much better this time around. Especially Holloween Town.

Seriously. I just started playing recently, too.Originally Posted by Opaque

...well, except for those two, big fights.
No, it can take as little as 15.Originally Posted by marwan

Yeah, the beginning with Roxas was just shitty.
I'm at the part where you go back to finish off all the worlds, but I haven't played in a while. I kept getting distracted by the gummi ship levels and trying to get all S's.

maybe i have too many game to play, but for some reason im not feeling this game much. I loved KH1, and im sure KH2 is better in every way, but the story line is just driving me mad, the twists in the story are boring me, plus the constant non stop cut scense are putting me to sleep. this is not to say im going to stop playing it, but it better get back on track or else...
Sorry to say, but be prepared for about 30 hours of this, and it never really gets on track. I just "beat" Kingdom Hearts II last night, and I didn't really enjoy the game as much as the first. Sure, it has a better battle system and a much improved camera but the game itself just never goes anywhere. It just felt like I spent most of the game playing through boring, watered down plots of Disney movies for no apparent reason. Seriously, a good 20 hours of gameplay in this game has no relevance to the overall story arc whatsoever.Originally Posted by marwan
Then, when the game actually gets back to the main plotline...well....hell if I can tell you what the story of this game is. Its just a bunch of cut scenes where Sora asks "What the fuck is going on Mickey?" Then Mickey always responds with "Shut the fuck up bitch....all will be clear....in due time" I got so sick of getting the "run around" from Mickey and all the other characters, even the villains spoke in riddles the entire game, that by the time I beat the game I can't really tell you what the real storyline was.
Also, this game now receives the award for saying or implying "This is the final battle" the most times in one game. The top spot previously went to some other shitty JRPG, or maybe it was Tales of Symphonia. Either way, I felt like the "this may be the final battle" scenario was a bit of an overkill in Kingdom Hearts II.
Bottom Line; I give Kingdom Hearts 2 a 7/10, and I give the original game a 9/10.

thanks magnifiedplaid, im glad im not the only one feeling like that about KH2. I havent played thee game in 2 days, and i honestly dont have the urge to play it anymore. it's true the battle system is improved and the camera is much better, but just like you said, it's just running around in different disney world fighting enemies with and unknown direction. meh' i think i'll give this game a rest and focus on something else(currently playing PGR3 and shadow of the colossus). I'm in the mood for a quick fix, can't be bothered to put up with stats and crap in an RPG.
i might get back to KH2 later on, but for now i feel very dissapointed by the game.
HAY GUYS! WHAT'S GOING ON IN HERE?
I just picked this up today, after finishing CoM's Reverse/Rebirth last night. Man, people who didn't play the GBA game must be *so* lost for at least the first few hours of KH II.
I like Kairi. I must own a doll. This would be a nice poster. (ZOMG TEH HOTLINK)
