L2P imo. CoM was awesome. I played through both Sora's and Riku's stories, and never had any problems getting the cards I needed.
I was way late to the party and played through Kingdom Hearts, Chain of Memories, and # II a few months ago back to back to back.
Kingdom Hearts: I liked it. I wanted to punch Riku in the face the entire game. Fuck you Sephiroth, and fuck you optional bosses spawns of Satan desert monster and clocktower cockknocker. I eventually beat them, but jeebus they were annoying.
Chain of Memories: Fuck you and your card battle bullshit. I got the very last door and apparently had to have the level one green card or whatever. It was also apparently one of the hardest cards to get. I wasn't going to spend 20 hours to find one card. I ended up watching the ending and Riku's cut scenes on YouTube.
Kingdom Hearts II: I enjoyed it much more than 1, and thought it was a big improvement. Fuck you Sephiroth and they should have left The Little Mermaid out of this one.

I honestly felt no incentive to do the extra stuff in KH2.
I feel that you could remove all the disney "worlds" from the game, and just keep the original KH content and make the game five hours long and it would've been a better experience.
Revisiting the same worlds that we saw in the first game was really dissapointing. Maybe come back to a few, but not as many as they did.![]()
Hmmm . . . I finished the first one, but never played CoM, and II felt way too much like one early on. I ended up sacking it because I didn't feel like playing the same game over again.
This thread brings back all I loved about the series, though. Anyone care to enlighten me on what versions I should pick up, should I desire to play through this series again?
CoM was the same freaking thing too with all of it's "I lost my memory time to rervisit all the worlds over again!" poop.
Bah!
This is very true. I loved KH2 and didn't mind the worlds as much as the original since they had much better level design, but the middle of the game dragged on since they were rehashing the original for no particular reason other than to pad hours and push the Disney crossover stuff.
Did anybody not play on Pride mode the first time they played through KH2?
It was super easy on Pride mode (with the exception of one or two bosses), I can't imagine playing it on an easier mode.
