  1. Some of us jackasses played in tournaments for months and months, and nightly fun games, and run our own server, and mentioned such in the ut thread :P

Nah , I still dig onslaught. Its a fun diversion. Granted, nothing tops Capture the Flag for me, but onslaught is fun. The new vehicles have done nothing more than make ONS spammier than ever, it is still fun among friends that don't play like dicks.
This bonus pack doesn't do much for me, personally. Its as if they forgot about Double Domination, Assault and Capture the Flag. Still , I guess I can't bitch too much about new content thats free.

I barely game my UT2K4 DVD a workout before I burnt out on hundreds of shitty mods.

I'll gladly play the OG game... I just need to uninstall all this BS and reinstall it again. That folder is just so messy.
HA! HA! I AM USING THE INTERNET!!1

  4. ctf is great, but both you and changeling need to play more vctf. it rules. download mode7's map so that the game mode becomes available. look for the this server:
    -=|kush!|=-=|VCTF|=-=|RoaDRasH|=-
it's usually busy, i get very good pings there and the players are of the non-asshole variety.

and mzo, install this. it's an ultra-handy map organizer. mode7 gave me the link a week or two ago.

  5. ONS is pretty lame competitively, but holy crap the new artillery and Cicada own your ass

  6. The Cicada is nice and then some.

Problem with VCTF is that the maps are 100% user-made, and there are a ton of shitty maps as a result. Kush! would do well to exercise a bit of selectivity, I think.

I already downloaded mode 7's map. I dug it alot. I am also in agreement that more people need to make good vctf maps like mode's. His wasn't unnecessarily big for no reason. It was tight. Different ways in and out(umm..)
I would really appreciaty it if you could direct me towards some good vctf maps or at least places where they are reviewed and rated. It'd be appreciated.

i recently reformatted my hard drive and lost my directory of good vctf maps. i was never able to find a reliable reviewing site, either. i found good maps by playing in a few servers and used this program to save them from my local cache.

i should be online in the next day or two. i'll post some names then.

Most of the mods I have downloaded are solid, I was not aware there has been hundreds of shitty mods. Some don't change much but they are still a lot of fun if the right changes are made, some change a hell of a lot and are quite fun (Red Orchestra, UT2K4 Troopers, Air Bucaneers, etc.). Although there's a few I have gotten that have completely sucked and have been a waste of my installing time. Hit me up sometime and I'll play one of the mods with you.

  10. I finally got around to doing a shield gun practice arena. Includes four demos ranging from basic, basic technique to stuff you could spend hours trying to master. Not much to look at, but it's precisely the sort of thing I would have wanted for myself a few months back.

    Check it out!

Edit: if you can reach the map summit, you are unequivocably l33t.
