    They always used a semi-realistic style on their cover arts to begin with. They might as well used that style in the actual games.

  3. Well, I dunno about this. The presence of a radar screen in the lower right corner disturbs me. Having a free-roaming system would be questionable IMO. What this sure as hell doesn't need is Resident Evil control.

    Now if SNK used a Klonoa/Strider 2 style engine in-game, I'd be more optimistic.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

    You do realise that those covers get progressivly more cartoony right?

  6. Well thats because whats his name is no longer employeed with SNK. Can't think of his name but he did like all of their cover and character profile art till a few years ago, it was rather realistic in detail.

    True, but they still mantain a semi-realistic look in all of them, which I wish was used more often in the actual games. At least it would look better in 3D than being completely cartoony.

    You mean Shinkiro (who now works for Capcom). The cover art for the Xbox version of Metal Slug 3 was done by another artist and it still looked pretty realistically proportional.

    that's debatable. in this case, it's not the art style's fault. it's the horrible textures, models & gui. if a developer like squareenix (check out these new screens of kingdom hearts 2,) was behind it, the art style would be faithfully translated.
