Both of the GBA Metroids and all of the GBA Castlevanias have been very, very good. Yet Mega Man is getting less original and less good with each entry.

I can't believe I said that either. Two of my favourite series of all time. Castlevania is getting more tired than Metroid, but there's been less of them.


I haven't bought the new gba Castlevania yet, but I've gone back and beaten the originals. Yay! I never could before. Some things about growing up are good.
There's just too much else to get for me to spend 30 bucks on another castlevania rehash. For the moment.

For example, metal slug 3 for xbox and ms for gba.

First video I've seen of this Metal Slug 3d, and the pictures cannot do the game justice, it looks even worse while someone is playing it!!!!

Not only that it looks terrible, but the fact that this is not even close to representing anything that the Metal Slug series has been about for all these years.

There is zero humor, zero artistic style, zero gore, and the level design looks absolutly putrid. I was cursing SNK for making a Metal Slug 3d game when it was first announced, simply because I KNEW that SNK with their terrible powers for making terrible 3d games would ruin this series. I guess nothing changes........hmph.

I have no problem with Metal Slug going 3D, but not like this. It should look and play like Maximo if they want to have any kind of chance of doing it right.

Nah, Maximo is too slow, MS needs to be more frenetic.

If anything, I guess the 3D games would more closely resemble the platform action of the NGPC MS games than the shooters.

But did you see what they were even shooting at when they were? Stationary enemies who may or most likely may not have been shooting at them. The tanks kinda just moved slowly towards the player as he threw one grenade and blew it up. Blasphemy! I can't believe how bad this actually turned out, everyones optimism when the game was first announced almost led me to believe this could be good.
