  2. Say what?

    If Nintendo put 5, or hell even 3 games on a cart for $20 I wouldn't mind...but 1? Shieettt

Highly improbable, but I hope Nintendo doesn't do a Dragon Warrior 1 release. Granted yes it's a staple of the NES library but the more recent GBC release absolutely slaughters it.

I don't if I could tolerate reading a paragraph everytime a monster dies or opening a menu to go down a flight of stairs.

Flashcart/NEStools is funky fresh though. A friend of mine has one and was playing Guardian Legend on it, cool as fuck.

At least they are good games, shame I've already played them all to death(Although I still don't see how Nintendo can warrant re-releasing Metroid 1..AGAIN). I bet other companies wish they had that kind of clout.

By "clout" you mean crazy-ass cult-like devoted fan base following?

Yeah I bet other companies wish they had more people like that. They're like Apple-ites.

Mr. Dream is a palette swap of Tyson. I have both versions, they fight exactly the same.

I don't think Nintendo can put Dragon Warrior out, without getting Enix's permission. I'm pretty sure Konami let Nintendo use Castlevania, I mean, it makes sense Nintendo would have to get the original developers consent.

And i'm going to take a huge guess, but I'm 90% sure that Metroid is coming out so Nintendo can nab extra sales with it once Metroid Prime 2 comes out. People will say "damn, MP 2 was cool, I need to get that new gba game that just came out", so it's a win-win.

And other companies DO have that clout, Square is releasing yet ANOTHER rehash of Final Fantasy 1 sometime in november I think on the gba. Though this one has an extra dungeon with monsters and bosses from future FF's (I know Phantom Train is there), but that's something for a different thread.

  6. Twenty damn dollars a pop is too much. Why not remake the SNES version of Super Mario All Stars for GBA? That would probably be worth $20.

It's not like these titles cost Nintendo much to produce. The cart size for each of these is probably under 1 megabit.

Capcom's MM 1-5 deal on GBA is how it should be done.

Nintendo dumped Mike Tyson because of his general nastiness- including his harsh treatment of Robin Givens. Later ASC made the game Power Punch II which was supposed to be "Mike Tyson's Intergalactic Power Punch". The endorsement got dropped thanks to his rape conviction. Instead of the real Iron Mike, PPII has a lookalike named Mark Tyler.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  7. These are out now in case anyone cares.

I'll probably pick up Castlevania at Best Buy, 15 bucks after the Gamers Gift Card coupon, beats having to drag the nes out every time to play it.

This repackage 1 old fucking game and selling it for new prices shit has got to stop.
Meh why buy portable versions of games that offer nothing new or conviences like oh says Castlevania 1-3 on the same pack when i could get gp32 or flash cart and not deal with this bullshit at all. Nintendo's business model makes me want to pirate and use flash carts. FF3j pls? Sometime?! Oh wait its been translated forever by some 3rd party fan group.

Nintendo makes me pirate when they don't do the obvious.

Nintendo has nothing to do with Final Fantasy 3j, you know, companies DO have to give their consent for these games to be re-released. Square is putting FF3j on the DS, anyways, plus they are whoring out FF 1 and 2 in November sometime for the GBA.

Plus, getting Castlevania for 15 bucks is alot less time consuming and expensive than getting a flash cart. Sure, alot of the re-releases suck and aren't worth it, but all I've gotten so far is Legend of Zelda for 15, and I'll get Castlevania for 15 tommorrow, so I don't care that much.

And the conveinence of buying those two were because they are portable, so they make great ways to pass the time while I wait for my gf to get out of work, while i'm waiting for a class and have nothing to do, etc etc.

  10. I picked up Zelda 2 a couple days ago. It's one of my favorite games of all time. I prefer it over the original because it's got better gameplay, more of a challenge, and a larger world. I'm ashamed that I still haven't beat it after almost 15 years (never managed to beat the final dungeon). For some reason I'm finding it pretty easy now so I should be able to finish it in a week or so.

I'm tempted to pick up Castlevania but I think I'll just save up for a flash cart instead. I think Zelda 2 is actually the only NES game I could see myself spending $20 for. Well... maybe Contra or Jackal. But pretty much everything else has been remade.

They should bust a Ninja Gaiden trilogy, that would be sweeet.
