Alright you want my take on it? I've already said it, it doesn't matter if someone is a Democrat or Republican, they can be either scumbags or good people and that's my take on it. A lot of Republicans were really dumb and selfish when they were younger, I've noticed this trend. And quiet honestly military service doesn't mean a damn when it comes to being smart, patriotic or a good person. A lot of people I met joining the military joined because they wanted to kill, because they had no other options available with their life or because they couldn't survive without the structured disclipline of the military (sort of like Charles Whitman). I met a hell of a lot more assholes, dickheads and idiots in the Marines then I met good people, the kind I would want to watch my back. Very few people I met joined the military because they wanted to be patriotic and serve their country, most of them were interested in killing and war and a stable job with a semi-decent paycheck and it was the same damn way back in the 40's, 50's and 60's.
