Thread: Best of Modest Mouse?

  1. I just put on 2004 Stormy's MM playlist. 2009 me approves, and still thinks everyone is crazy for leaving Broke off their lists.

  2. 1. The View (Well if life's more beautiful without the pain, well I'd rather never ever even see beauty again. Nuff said)
    2. 3rd Planet (Such a peek into Brock's mind put to amazingly beautiful music)
    3. Missed the Boat (Just their most catchy song, by far)
    4. Medication (Like much of their early work, beautifully tragic)
    5. Grey Ice Water (See: Medication, just not as tragic)
    6. Tiny Cities Made of Ashes (So much funk, their best live song by FAR)
    7. Gravity Rides Everything (Unusual melodies and guitar riffs make this song truly memorable, it's the song that made me listen to the band)
    8. The Good Times are Killing Me (Probably deserves a much higher place on the list, a truly amazing song)
    9. Satin in a Coffin (See: Tiny Cities Made of Ashes, just not as much funk)
    10. Bukowski (Irony in it's purest form set to funky beauty, wonderful)
    11. The rest of The Moon and Antarctica, it's their best album. (truth)
    12. Float On (Who gives a shit if it was overplayed, it's an outstanding song)

    Best songs to dance to:
    Bury Me With It
    Tiny Cities Made of Ashes
    This Devil's Workday

    Most beautiful songs:
    3rd planet
    Perfect Disguise
    The View

    Most interesting:
    Bukowski
    Medication
    Dark Center of the Universe

    Best Lyrics:
    Ocean Breathes Salty
    The View/3rd Planet
    Medication/Bukowski

It is a pity, that now I can not express - I hurry up on job. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.

You have a way with words sir, and I assure you that were you ever to promote the sale of some such good or service, I for one would be inclined to participate in the offer.
