Out of purely idle curiosity, how many of you AW fans have 'finished' AW/AW2 (not 100%, but the campaign, a chunk of extra maps, etcetc)

Finished campaign modes in both and a handful of war room maps, probably about a dozen or so in each. War Room maps in AW2 specifically take a long-ass time to play through. I've pretty much given up on Hard Campaign in AW2, it's completely unforgiving, missions are less about superior strategy and more about having to hit your marks on a specific pattern with minimal room for variance, and being totally scewed if you don't. Hope they tone that mode down for AW DS, I like an uphill battle but some of those missions were just ridiculous.Out of purely idle curiosity, how many of you AW fans have 'finished' AW/AW2 (not 100%, but the campaign, a chunk of extra maps, etcetc)
No you couldn't. I'm not talking about your own units, but say there's a mission where you're Blue Moon and Orange Star is helping you...you can't use any of their stuff...Originally Posted by Bacon McShig

On AW2, I beat it twice on normal (one with A rank and one with S) and once on Hard with an A rank (unlocked hachi)...bought every map and everything else there is to buy.
oh yeah...I beat every War Room map too.

I only made it to the last mission of AW, but I never finished. Atlas bought me the 2nd for my birthday, and I've still to play it X_X
But that's how I roll. I'll get to them eventually.

Ah, okay, when you said allied cities I thought you meant ones under your immediate control. Didn't think about the missions where you command more than one army. That makes sense. I'd also like to not have two seperate turns for each army in those instances, just have one turn in which to move everyone. There were a lot of times where, for example, I'd want to move an orange tank to a space a blue infantry unit was occupying, but couldn't move the blue unit unless I ended the orange army's turn.No you couldn't. I still haven't gotten around to finishing the last mission of AW2. Maybe I'll work on that this weekend.Originally Posted by Mzo

I'm wondering what the survival and combat modes will be like. Could be interesting.
I also read today that you control the ground units on the bottom screen and the air units on top.

I finished AW with everything done on every level. Wasn't too tough with the APC bug thing.
AW2, I did on the hard difficulty, but didn't finish them up to get the S ranks with everyone. Became too much of a chore at the end.
