I agree. I am dying for a Fire Emblem/Shining Force/Vandal Hearts on this thing.

EDIT: I wonder if any of Intelligent System's will work. I'd see if Fire Emblem did anything but I sold it a long time ago.
I tried the first FE and it didn't do anything. I don't have the second one, but if the first does nothing, I would imagine that would be the case for the second as well.

Man, I've played for over 6 hours and I still only have 1 out of 300 medals. I can't imagine how long you have to play to earn them all...

  5. Man, some of these missions can get long if you don't do them right. I just played one for two hours. I never got bored though, so this game + 1.

Along with Meteos, DS now has two AAA addictive as hell titles (you can keep Kirby, thanks). Anybody who owns a DS needs this game - seriously, what the heck else are you playing?

  6. This game rocks. I love the presentation and interface, and the first thing I noticed along with that is just how much better the sound is (and I'm using the shitty PSP earbuds). I've always loved the series' music, but the sound quality has been improved exponentially, even the sound effects. I didn't think the graphics would be very noticably different judging from screens, either, but despite being very similar, they've also been improved quite a bit.

I'm only a few missions in, so I can't comment on the additions to the gameplay, but this is definitely a game where having a top screen for stats is an actual convenience, and the touch control is definitely more natural (though I've already accidentily hit "wait" instead of "fire" once, which is annoying). Overall though, very please so far.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  7. I've never played any of the AW's, but this game is making me swoon. Looks like Nintendogs + Advance Wars get tomorrow!

  8. How far are you guys? I just hit mission 22. I think they were all pretty easy (Got mostly S and A ranks, with a few Bs in there) but mission 18 gave me some trouble.

When you run into the Oozium, just run. It's not worth killing them when you can easily outrun them. That made mission 18 a lot easier.

  9. Holy crap, 22!? Have you put it down yet since it came out? I'm on 15...I had to do a couple over again because the opposition impaled themselves on my neotanks before I could collect the weapons on that stage.

  10. Haha, well the damn game is addictive! I usually don't bulldoze through games but I think Advance Wars is one of the best series ever.

My history timer says 6 hours and 19 minutes played, but that includes some war room games and some wireless games with friends.

    God I love this game.
