Does anyone else think it's funny that EA Sports dropped the price of NBA Live 2005?

I think people were starting to realize that rehashes of last year's game with suttle updates just wasn't worth forking full retail price for. Luckily, devs notice this and the game's cost less and are far better. Played Live at a friend's house last night and it's alright, but still not worth my money, as I'm just not a huge basketball sim fan, unlike every other big NBA fan ever.

Thats a very nice theory except its completely wrong. In case you didnt read, Madden 2005 is selling better than any other version of Madden ever and completely raped ESPN NFL2K5 in sales.

Bottom line: people are going to pay what they think a game is worth. If this year proved or showed anything, its that people think EA's game is worth $50 and Sega's is only worth $20. And finally, Sega realized this.

I wouldn't be able to say much on the Madden or NFL2Kx series' since I've never played any of em, nor know if there's been that big of a difference from the other years. I remember playing NHL 2000 through 2004 and having fun which each one, but disliking the Live series more and more through each year. While many would bother paying 50$ just because its Madden, I'd firmly agree that the Live's aren't as loved as the Madden's. IMO, its not worth it at all.
