XBOX 2 and PS3 in 2005?

I never bother with the new gens until the last gen officially dies out, as they still publish games for it for another year or two. After I've played just about everything on the last gen, I move to the next one. The price for the Xenon and the Ps3 are going to drop, so why be impatient and pay more?

There are still new games coming out for PSone, but as soon as the major developers move on, so do I.

The only reason I want a new generation sooner rather than later is that MS and Nintendo have both confirmed full VGA support. It's about time, damnit.

I think it's cool. I'm really anxious to see the new systems and Microsofts tactics to gain ground on PS3. I've heard the rumor along with everyone else about Microsoft launching Halo 3 at the same time as the PS3 launch date.

Well, Sony and Nintendo have already promised to show their consoles at E3. MS would stupid to not do the same. BTW, I love how this thread further proves that Halo is the only system seller the Xbox has.

You guys make it sound like 2005 is tomorrow or something. I don't think we'll see any of them on shelves until summer of 2005, that's a long way off. By then I'm sure they'll look like more than just "nicer graphics". Hell, we barely know anything about them now, I'm sure a lot of people here will be singing another tune in about 2 years.

There is a hell of a lot of idiots out there, a lot of people really like this game and can you imagine this game alone how many new people will get on Xbox live. If anybody has any sources that know how many are currently subscribed to where we can compare to how many are when Halo 2 is released that would be really something to see.
