That's all very nice. But I presented my argument already. Ill spell it out, yet again:

01. People on TNL often complain that much-hyped games have inflated review scores.
02. Zelda Ocarina of Time was a much-hyped game.
03. Zelda Ocarina of Time had incredibly high review scores.

Yeah, but the flaw in this argument is that every game that's much hyped is somehow undeservedly receiving high review scores. If the game is really that good, it should get great review scores. I think OOT deserved the scores that it received. 8/10 = B, I don't think OOT is a "B" game.

Easy. If it jives with my opinion, the opinion in question is valid. If it contradicts my opinion outright, the opinion in question is most definitely wrong.

Opinion, by it's very nature, cannot be "wrong" (A belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof).

Fable was prased as the second coming, it was hype to no measurable end, and it's averaging an 86% at Gamerankings. So tell me again about how hype makes reviews.

All samplings are biased. If you take a sample of OOT opinions from the Xbox forums and compare them to the sample from GameFAQs... very different indeed.

With regards to Fable... yea, a lot of people were complaining the game was getting reviews that it didnt deserve. Remember, IGN, a site that did countless features and previews on it, gave the game a 9.3.

Yeah, because it's hard as hell to play OOT on an Xbox. I think part of the assumption here is that the people that are lavishing praises on games like OOT have actually played the thing.

Geez, you are making it sound like Fable and KotOR had no hype. IMO Majoras mask is much better than KotOR. But I think I am alone in that one.

Your big 37-year old mind should be able to grasp my argument. Sadly, this appears to not be the case. A site full of rabid Xbox fans would likely not be as praiseful (not a word, I think) towards a Nintendo 64 game than something like gamefaqs, which is littered with worthless Nintendo fanboys. Get it?

Like say you went to two forums for opinions on Command & Conquer, one on Blizzard.com and one on Westwood.com (okay they no longer exist but still, hopefully your enormous brain can leap over this mental hurdle). Which one do you think will have an overall, better opinion of it?

KOTOR and Baldur's Gate 2 shit all over Wind Waker, Ocarina of Time, and Majora's Mask, so it's not unreasonable to expect the same from Jade Empire.

Bioware > everything.

Even as an avid Nintendo/Zelda fanboy I think he's right. KOTOR was way more memorable [and fun] then Wind Waker. Different games or not.

Yeah but we aren't just using Nintendo Power's review of OOT, we are using the reviews from a lot of different sources.
