I saw the trailer before The Incredibles last Saturday and this movie looks good, whereas the other ones looked bad. So here's hoping that the trailer is an indication of what we're in store for.
Ph33r his lethal Foot Attack.
And, no, that's not a joke. Imagine a robotic throw away villian with ubergay attacks and 1/10 the personality of an average Clormtrooper and you got it nailed.

Grievous was bad-ass in the toon. Any enemy that can use 3 lightsabers at once ( 1 with his foot) ,beat on Jedi, and look good doing it qualifies as cool shit. Oh, and hes a robot, I think his personality is a moot point.
One with his foot? That sounds so incredibly lame. It looks like they're looking for ways to top the skill Darth Maul displayed in The Phantom Menace (probably the best character to come out of the last two Star Wars films). It's incredibly juvenile writing.

That's even MORESO lame. Two lightsabres should be the end of it. A giant superpower of a robot created to hunt down Jedi is extremely dumb. It's the kind of writing we'd expect out of Dragonball Z, not Star Wars. Actually, scratch that, it is the kind of writing we'd expect out of Star Wars nowadays.
It's meant to raise the amazement factor with little substance. If they build up Grevious with a great weakness and more than a 1D persona then I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. As of right now all he appears to be is a search and destroy drone that rapes any special notion the Jedi had in previous movies.
It seems that instead of thinking and brainstorming innovative and good storytelling ideas to progress the threat of their villains they simply throw a magical robot at us.

Cyborg. He is a cyborg.Originally Posted by Jetman

I have seen such gayness, and it was gay.Originally Posted by Jetman
At least Darth Maul looked mean, Grevious looks like a tin can with a dinosaur head behind a mask that spins like a top.
I like most of the things I've heard about EP 3, but this is on villian that won't be memorable in the slightest.
I refuse to form my opinion on Grievous from that Toon with the Samurai Jack art, because I hate it so much.
Maul was also the first to demonstrate such dexterity and skill with the lightsabre. It was something special to see his dual sided lightsabre open up in the final scene. But instead of building him and having a showdown with him being knocked off in the third installment they made him a throwaway villain.Originally Posted by MVS
Plus, like you said, he looked bad ass.
