Interesting. Like I said, I dont really care about these things - Star Wars is great, I love the movies, but Im not sweating the details.

Yoda says something to the effect of, "I am a mere apprentice compared to what you have accomplished," to Qui-Gon.
"My failure, this was. Failed the Jedi, I did."
    He spoke to the Force.
And the Force answered him. Do not blame yourself, my old friend.
As it sometimes had these past thirteen years, when the Force spoke to him, it spoke in the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn.
"Too old I was," Yoda said. "Too rigid. Too arrogant to see that the old way is not the only way. These Jedi, I trained to be¬come the Jedi who had trained me, long centuries ago—but those ancient Jedi, of a different time they were. Changed, has the galaxy. Changed, the Order did not—because let it change, I did not."
More easily said than done, my friend.
"An infinite mystery is the Force." Yoda lifted his head and turned his gaze out into the wheel of stars. "Much to learn, there still is."
And you will have time to learn it.
"Infinite knowledge..." Yoda shook his head. "Infinite time, does that require."
With my help, you can learn to join with the Force, yet retain consciousness. You can join your light to it forever. Perhaps, in time, even your physical self.
Yoda did not move. "Eternal life..."
The ultimate goal of the Sith, yet they can never achieve it; it comes only by the release of self, not the exaltation of self. It comes through compassion, not greed. Love is the answer to the darkness.
"Become one with the Force, yet influence still to have..." Yoda mused. "A power greater than all, it is."
It cannot be granted; it can only be taught. It is yours to learn, if you wish it.
Slowly, Yoda nodded. "A very great Jedi Master you have become, Qui-Gon Jinn. A very great Jedi Master you always were, but too blind I was to see it."
He rose, and folded his hands before him, and inclined his head in the Jedi bow of respect.
The bow of the student, in the presence of the Master.
    "Your apprentice, I gratefully become."

That's awesome. From the book right? How could Lucas have left that out of the movie?

I dunno. From what I hear several of the deleted scenes from RotS were worth keeping in the theatrical release.

I imagine it is because of the few lines that teach exact ethics/morals. It may just be me but GL seems to have cut any lines that put morals and ethics into speech. He lets the entire good/bad thing go with out saying.

  6. I thought it was great. Completely puts Episodes I and II to shame.

Now I look forward to watching the original trilogy sometime this week. Its been quite awhile since I've seen the films.

  7. The Yoda/Qui-Gon scene was actually in the script as well. It happened right before Bail comes into Yoda's room on that moon station and alerts him of contacting Obi-Wan.

I dunno if it was filmed or not. But it was in the script. And it would have made the movie that much more complete if you ask me. Shame on Lucas.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  8. It may HAVE been filmed, but for whatever reason Neeson didn't record his lines. I've heard that he just couldn't find time, and I've heard that he flat out refused.
I'm not a devious man by nature... but when you're unarmed, your tactics might gonna be downright Archimedean.

  9. Saw it again with my sis and brother in law last weekend and some friends, they liked it a lot. I was able to notice a lot more little details this time such as Dooku's head rolling into the background and Obi Wan skillfully sliding his saber gradually over Grevious's which is how he was able to cut his hands off.

My sis commented that RoTJ would be even more fun to watch now and I'd have to agree. Ep III adds a nice extra layer to RoTJ when he is slowly looking back and forth at Luke then Palp. Because now in light of RoTS, I'd assume he's thinking as he looks at Palp, "Hey wait a minute, I joined up with this guy because he said if I did, Padme and my family would always be safe...now he's killing my son! It's time to die, whitey."
