The overarching plot element of Vader's ascent is not enough to carry this trilogy on its own. It really depends on eps 4-6 to stand. It needed to have a plotline with some emotional content and some developed villains other than the not-included-enough palpatine in it. Each new movie is a throwaway experience with a throwaway villain. None of the characters really grow during the course of the movies, including Padme, Obi-Wan and Anakin. All the growth apparently takes place off screen in between episodes. It's just awful storytelling. All fluff and no filling, soulless and empty movies.
The fights can look as cool as they want, but that's not what made the original Star Wars films classics.
Here at Episode III, I have a little hope because it's going to come into contact with the original trilogy, and the times when that story bleeds through are the good times, despite the often-poor dialogue. It seems to be following the same path as the other three though - Tons of speical effects, throwaway fights with decent choreography, a climactic battle with no emotional investment and an obvious outcome, you won't really care about any of the Jedi Grievous manages to slay, just like no one cared about Qui Gon Jinn. (Unless you had read the books. Then maybe you cared. A bit.) We know almost everything interesting that's going to happen already. Obi Wan - Lives. Anakin - Vader. Palpatine - Emperor. I don't know if Amidala's going to die, but she probably will after she gives birth to the twins.
I'm still so angry. These movies could have been great. The good story is there, it was just so poorly executed.

Other than that, I really like this trailer, and the way the footage from the old movies was integrated. That's all.

If Episode III was Episode I, they could've focused more on the rise of the Empire and the elimination of the Jedi's for Episodes II & III.

I agree, although they definitely needed to introduce Obi-Wan to Vadar as a young child. Perhaps the initial scenes, get rid of Quigon Jin (whom nobody seems to even care about, and by that I don't mean us. When I say that I am talking about the character on screen too) and for gods sake make Darth Maul the big villain until Vadar takes him out to claim the position.
But introduce Obi-Wan to Anakin and his mom, maybe do a couple of montages to show time passing and voila, shake and bake backstory with more impact. I thought the whole way Obi Wan got involved with Anakin was a rocky foundation to begin with. Obi Wan didn't give two shits about Vadar, he only did it because Qui Gon basically told him to do it and that's not a great way to built respect within a relationship.
