Tveryone in my theater (including me) started laughing uncontrollably when yoda started fighting. The "YAAAAAAAR" he does when he launches himself forward was ridiculous.

As long as everyone is having fun splitting hairs, our reaction to it went something like this:

Yoda's shadow appears "Haha, uh ohhh...yeah!"

Followed by various:

"haha! Whoooo! Yeah, clap clap clap yeah whooo"

In other words, laughter plus whooping and clapping = people being entertained by something they'd been waiting a long time to see: Yoda kicking the crap outta someone.

Hey, I walked in on the movie without paying and missed some of the beginning so I didn't know that was the end of it. The full half hour to an hour that I saw was all ass and I was bitching the whole time. Yoda was the final straw. There's no way I could have taken watching that whole thing.

I have the old VHS trilogy already, I was just wanting it on DVD.

Anybody who walked out on Yoda fighting Dooku is a wet towel. And also might I say has the entertainment appreciation equivalent of an angry nursing home patient. Edit: Or the comic book guy.

All I know is everyone in the theater both here in North Dakota and the chinese theater in LA started cheering as soon they saw Yoda's little shadow appearing and Dooku turning around with an "Oh crap..." look on his face.

I like how you're calling him a nerd, yet you're flabberghasted that Lucas decided to make Yoda a badass with the lightsaber via CG effects. And you sit there talking about how you treasure the pre-se versions on vhs, like they're some holy bastion of film making... Clue bus pulling up: These are SUPPOSED to be B-scale sci-fi action flicks, not some oscar-magnet masterpeice of celluloid.

Also, chill out with those attacks.

edit: I also thought the Yoda/Dooku fight scene was probably the most badass part of EP2, just for the sole fact that Yoda got to show them skills off. And from the looks of it he'll be doing it a whole lot more in the upcoming movie.
