Thread: Star Wars Episode III official thread

  1. I thought the movie was pretty great. It had some cheese (Vader: NOoooooooooooo!) but mostly I enjoyed it.

    Anakin vs Obi-wan was awesome.

The coolest part of Anakin v Obi wan was when they were fighting while walking down a hallway...anakin's so dark he seems to be disappearing and reappearing behind the flash of the lightsabers. There was one moment where he swirled and seemed to suddenly reappear 3 feet to the left.

Yeah. Shit, make the movie 3 and a half hours long if you show Grievous and Shaak Ti, (shame she loses in the end) and Yoda and Chewie actually being friends, and shit like that.

Especially the scene explaining Obi-Wan's ridiculously and painfully loud lizard.

So the TV show is obviously going to feature Bail Organa, ne? Maybe Mon Mothma too and the origins of the rebellion?

...How fast did those Imperial Starfleet Command suits get pressed and why weren't they clones?

I want it to feature me some young Aunt Beru. I'd lap up that blue milk of hers anyday.

Yea, those uniforms sure popped up pretty quick, didn't they?

As for them not being clones, it's not like they ground up all the old Republic members when they started up the Empire and replaced them with clones...there's normal people running around too, ya know?

Still, it was cool to finally see some old-school architecture like the bridge of the Star Destroyer and the all-white corridors of the Rebel Blockade Runner.

  6. I seen it last night also but couldnt be bothered to post about it.
I just wanted to say I liked it a lot actually. I didnt notice anything too stupid at all.....well except Vader's NOOOO. The acting was well done IMO. Nothing as shit as the last too. Even some of the really bad dialog this time around didnt annoy me as much. I would have liked to see some extended footage they cut out though. Some stuff just went way to quick. I read the book and that had a lot better dialog and in parts. Like the whole Dooku fight was a lot better in the book too. Obi and Anakin fight him together MUCH MUCH longer and when Obi does get bitched out Palp kinda says shit to Ani and help him use his anger to fight. Which he does and goes all apeshit on Dooku. Anyhow theres a lot more build up and stuff that makes more sense on how Ani seems to go bad so fast in the movie.

Enough of my gibberish though. I liked it a LOT. Some of you guys are being WAY over critical. In fact I want to see it again.

  8. I want to see extended edition DVDs a la LotR, not that half-assed blue screen crap with a counter running in the corner the other movies had.

Lucas needs to take some lessons from Peter Jackson on how to properly release a movie on DVD.

I loved it. I thought it tied itself to the old trilogy perfectly.

...to pace a movie, to intergrate CG, write dialog, etc etc.
