Just found out how they're breaking up the season this time, and it's AWESOME.

The first arc will be 6 episodes long and will be a mini-series of sorts chronicling Jack, Kate, and Sawyer in captivity.

Then, there's a 13 week hiatus, during which there will be weekly mobisodes on Verizon V-Cast, which will be available online one week after they debut on phones.

Finally, after the 13 week hiatus, the last 17 episodes will air UNINTERRUPTED (meaning, no repeats)!!!!!!

I wish more shows would do this (*cough*SMALLVILLE*cough).

I loved the news of the scheduling since first hearing of it some time back.

Last season, interruptions cut the flow and momentum of the show at the knees.

What would be awesome is if they played all 23 episodes uninterrupted. A 13 week hiatus sucks. Hell, I would rather them just put off starting the season until they have the episodes ready if that's why they're doing it. They could also skip playing episodes on holiday weeks like Thanksgiving if they needed to.

I like the scheduling personally, mostly the part about the 17 weeks of no breaks. Having recap episodes and 2 weeks of repeats really pissed me off during both of Season 1 and 2.

The 13 week haitus doesn't bother me at all considering they basically did that last year, except they didn't have 17 weeks of new episodes after. Last season I'm pretty sure they stopped airing new episodes after thanksgiving, and didn't begin again until the middle of February, just like they are doing this season. Also, don't pretty much all shows take a haitus between thanksgiving and the winter premieres? This really is nothing new, except that they are starting the season pretty much 2-3 weeks after when most programs premiered.

The mobisodes will hopefully be on the interweb the day they get released on V-Cast too.

Are you serious? Almost every show on television goes on long ass breaks, but then they don't go completely uninterrupted once they get back.

It's true. If it's a prime time series that starts in September chances are around the 2nd week in November it's time to say goodbye until at least Feb.
